Ingredients
- 2 ¼ cup AP flour
- ¾ cup white sugar
- ¾ cup brown sugar
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 eggs
- 2 sticks butter, room temp
- 2 tsp vanilla
- 2 (or more) cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
Directions
Step 1
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper.
Step 2
In a large mixing bowl, mix all dry ingredients.
Step 3
In a medium bowl, mix all wet ingredients. Use room temperature (soft) butter. Do NOT melt the butter. Melted butter will cause your cookies to spread out too much while baking.
Step 4
Add wet ingredients to dry and mix until well blended, but do not overmix the batter. Mix until everything is just combined. Fold in chocolate chips to batter.
Step 5
Drop spoonfuls of batter (about 1 ½ tbsp) onto lined baking sheet. Keep approximately 2" between cookies. Bake at 375 for 9-11 minutes.
Step 6
Remove from oven and allow to sit on baking sheet for 5 minutes and then transfer to cooling rack. Store in airtight container for up to 5 days, if you can make them last that long!
